
Lilliam M. Guajardo, MS, LPC-Associate

Lilliam is a Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2021. Lilliam also earned her certificate of Bilingual (Spanish) Counseling at UTSA. Lilliam has passionately dedicated her time in the helping field working with children, adolescents, couples, and families. She has extensive experience working with parents providing parenting psychoeducation and support. Lilliam additionally worked with clients who have experienced death losses and are needing grief support. Lilliam is motivated to make a difference in the community and positively impact the mental health of children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and are seeking a path toward healing. Lilliam was born in Houston, Texas to Colombian native parents and greatly values time with family, especially her husband and almost 2-year-old son and her faith community.

Lourdes Durham, LPC-S, RPT-S
Clinic Supervisor
Lourdes Durham has been working with children, adolescents, adults, and families since 2008. She has experience working in acute inpatient hospitals, residential and outpatient programs, and private practice as a therapist. Lourdes has served in leadership roles for residential facilities for at-risk youth in foster care and in juvenile probation, and adult females with severe history of trauma. She has also had the privilege to work with active-duty service members and veterans in residential treatment for PTSD and substance abuse. Lourdes has been a Registered Play Therapist since 2011 and has experience working with children ages 3 and up with a variety of issues, trauma being her main focus. Lourdes is trained in EMDR, CPT, PE among other modalities. Lourdes joined UT Health San Antonio in 2023.

Lupe Mendoza Rodriguez
LPC-Associate
Lupe received her Masters in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University San Antonio and is a Texas State Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (Supervised by Lourdes Durham, LPC-S RPT-S). Lupe began her training and experience helping bereaved children and families from the San Antonio area to include settings in peer support groups, individual counseling, and grief camps. Her training also expanded into school-based settings to include individual and small group counseling for adolescents at the high school level. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, making art, being outdoors with her two dogs, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Martha Chichil-Zepeda, MS, LPC-S

Martha Chichil-Zepeda, M.S., LPC-S completed her graduate work at Our Lady of the Lake University and has worked with children and adolescents for half of her professional career. She most recently worked with college-aged students at UTSA in the Counseling and Mental Health Services department. Her areas of interest are trauma-work, multicultural issues, LGBTQ+ DACA/Dreamer concerns, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and PTSD, to list a few. Martha is trained in TF-CBT, CPT, EMDR, SFT, CBT, and EMDR. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has worked with families and children offering family counseling in both languages. In her free time, she enjoys reading, Zumba, lifting weights, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Megan Cuellar MS, LPC-Associate, NCC

Originally from Houston, Texas, Megan graduated with her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA in 2023. Megan holds a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate License in Texas and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification. Megan has experience working with clients struggling with eating disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. She additionally received special training to work with survivors of human trafficking in the Counselors Against Sex Trafficking (CAST) internship program at UTSA. Though newly licensed, Megan has been working in the mental health field since 2020 in private practice, inpatient, hospital, and residential settings.

Megan Schaefer is a Texas State Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate, Supervised By: Jennifer V. Randow, LPC-S).
Megan started with the WE CARE Clinic in December 2022 as a part of the original cohort. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, parents, and families. Megan is certified in EMDRIA approved EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and currently being trained in PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy). In her spare time, Megan enjoys traveling, music, being outdoors, reading, podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.

Nico Bueno
LPC-Associate
Nico began his counseling journey in Lubbock and is now grateful to be serving the San Antonio community. With a focus on helping children and teens overcome anxiety, anger, and depression, Nico believes in the power of evidence-based practices to foster growth and resilience. Nico utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches to equip clients with effective tools to manage life’s challenges. Creating a safe, inclusive, and empathetic environment is central to Nico’s practice. He strives to ensure that every client feels seen, heard, and understood, recognizing the unique experiences and strengths they bring. Nico’s goal is to help clients build healthy habits that lead to meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Presley Pargin
Research Coordinator and Assessor
Presley Pargin graduated from UT Austin with a B.S. in Psychology in 2022. She has research experience in multiple UT Austin psychology labs, ranging in focus from cognitive psychology, better access to evidence-based mental health treatment for children, and anxiety disorders. Presley has previously worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing early intervention services to young kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and continue to work with children and adolescents, specifically those with depressive disorders and suicidal ideation. In her free time, Presley loves quilting, baking, and volunteering at her local church youth group for teens.

Reena Pardiwala, MSPA, PA-C

Reena has been a certified Physician Assistant since 2013, and has practiced in Child & Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric Psychiatry since 2015. She is a certified Youth Aware of Mental Health Instructor and trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. She is also a Professional Life Coach and a Registered Yoga Teacher. Her patient care is rooted in all-round wellness.

Rene L. Olvera MD, MPH

Rene L. Olvera MD, MPH is the Dielmann Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and has served UT Health in several leadership roles including the Psychiatry Clerkship Director to the Regional Academic Health Center from 2009-2018, Chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry 2105-2018, Medical Director of Clarity Child Guidance outpatient psychiatric clinic 2015-2018, and Vice Chairman for Community Psychiatry, where his main focus was serving as the Chief Medical Officer to the Center for Health Care Services 2018 -2023. His research career was fostered after obtaining a HRSA, Hispanic Center of Excellence faculty development award, which was used to acquire a Master of Public Health degree. He leveraged experience in all phases of collaborative research to a twenty-year career with continuous research funding, focusing on endophenotypic characterization through neuroimaging in relation to mental disorders of public health significance. Dr. Olvera also has decades of experience as an educator serving as a lecturer and course director for our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residents. His teaching is highly influenced by his experience in research, and he leads the Research design and statistics course, and chairs the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry resident journal club. He has extensive clinical experience with vulnerable populations including sixteen years of work with juvenile offenders, and other community partners including Roy Mass Youth Alternatives, Clarity Child Guidance and the Center for Health Care Services.
